Position Summary
BridgePoint seeks a Field Engineer to work with our superintendent team. The Field Engineer’s primary focus will be assisting the Superintendent on all things project related. The Field Engineer is responsible for helping maintain orderliness on-site, compliance with construction and safety regulations, ensuring quality standards are met, and any additional needs the superintendent may have. BridgePoint is a fast-growing construction company specializing in commercial construction up-fits, renovations, and new construction located in Durham, North Carolina. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced. These projects are located in the Triangle Area of North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports to Project Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent
- Assist on opening and closing the project each day at the direction of the field supervisor
- Installation and removal for wall and floor protection, jobsite clean up, light demolition and carpentry work
- Assist in field layout work
- Cover the project on certain weekends with the superintendent on call.
- Verify rough in locations with contract documents
- Assist on daily reports, Job Hazard Analysis reports, jobsite photo documentation, punch list completion
- Subcontractor Wellness check or just assistance in verification of headcount at check in
- Monitor loading dock or door/parking areas when we receive deliveries
- Walk site safety checklist and alert super if any issues need attention
- Assistance in monitoring quiet times or making other subcontractors aware of specific activities ie welding in a doorway area avoid for an hour
Job Requirements
- Highest integrity and ethical standards
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to collaborate on a regular basis with the Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent
- Good organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to assume responsibility/manage for multiple assignments
- Current safety credentials a plus, to include at a minimum 10 Hours OSHA, First Aid, and CPR.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. A benefit program includes medical insurance and 401 K options as well as a bonus structure.
