REPORTS TO: Project Manager
Position Summary
BridgePoint is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the construction industry (Project Engineer level). Responsible for helping the team achieve the goals of a fast-growing construction company with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that specializes in commercial construction up-fits, renovations, healthcare, and life sciences. The primary focus will be managing the day-to-day project operations of $250k – $2M projects and assisting a Project Manager on $2M – $15M projects by driving successful project results, from preconstruction through final closeout in the safest manner possible while maintaining the highest quality standards. Oversee and assist on all parts of the project including but not limited to: project financials, schedule, quality, project administration while maintaining relationships with subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, consultants and governing authorities to deliver high-quality projects to new and repeat clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with leadership ability and experience in maintaining relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide necessary support for projects within the organization taking direct lead over projects $250K – $1.5M and assisting Project Manager on projects $1.5M – $15M of projects in the RTP area.
- Monitor all potential changes in the scope of work through RFIs, submittals, field issues, and meeting minutes.
- Review and approve all subcontractor monthly billing percentages for accuracy to create monthly applications for payment. Notify Accounting of any accrued billing that needs to be listed and obtain matching pay app from subcontractor timely.
- Create and maintain project construction schedules, consistently monitor job progress, develop schedule updates, and address progress anomalies to share with the project staff. Manage the update of the schedule on a bi-weekly basis at Owner/Architect/Contractor Meetings.
- Lead and manage the Owner/Architect/Contractor meeting to be held at least bi-monthly.
- Manage all project-related communication with Client, Design Team and Building Owner.
- Manage the final inspection and certificate process to ensure all subcontractors have obtained theirs and that the Superintendent has all necessary assistance to obtain the project finals.
- Ensure Pre-punch is performed by the project team and items addressed by the subcontractors prior to architect/Owner punch list. Manage the documentation of the punch list and coordinate the scheduling of the Architect. Provide final punch list sign off letter to be accepted by the Architect.
- Manage end of project paperwork and tasks to obtain Stocking Permits, Temporary Certificate of Occupancy and Final Certificate of Occupancy. Issue documentation or facilitate the issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience at project engineer level.
- Highest integrity and ethical standards.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to collaborate on a regular basis with the Project Manager/Project Engineer.
- Good organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to assume responsibility/manage for multiple assignment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
- Proficiency in construction software: Procore, Microsoft Projects, Bluebeam, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
- Current safety credentials a plus, to include at a minimum 10 Hours OSHA, First Aid, and CPR.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. A benefit program includes medical insurance and 401 K options as well as a bonus structure.
